His Excellency President Benigno S. Aquino III
President of the Republic of the Philippines
Malacanang Palace
JP Laurel Street, San Miguel, Manila
Dear President Aquino:
Wouldn’t it be great if you could enhance your K to 12 Basic Education Program with an English vocabulary-building project to help young people compete and succeed in the international stage?
Wouldn’t it be even greater if you could achieve that by simply giving them a Filipino-created, Filipino-developed and Filipino-owned online word game for FREE?
My name is WordTrotter, dubbed “World’s Coolest Word Game” by users online and I’ve been featured on primetime news, talk shows, websites and online publications as the First Filipino Video Game on Facebook.
I apologize for my lack of modesty, but, Your Excellency, I am currently unparalleled in the world of word gaming in that I am action packed, multi leveled and effortlessly educational because my players actively interact with forming words, given both clues to help and adversaries to overcome in a unique gaming world where words come alive. The player guides one of the three surviving word bugs of the Wordtrotter Race in a quest to catch mystical alphabet bugs and form the Anti-Spell, a secret magical word that will save the world from being destroyed by the curse of the evil word witch Grimmar. And as they do so, word after word is memorized and understood.
You may see how effectively I work to increase vocabulary here: www.wordtrotter.com
I am not simply an entertainment device.
I am an interactive, extremely effective, educational tool.
I am born and created solely in the Philippines.
Yes, I am a proud Pinoy.
And I dream to find a home in the computer of every Filipino student.
Just like you, as shown by your recent launch of the K to 12 Basic Education Program on April 24, 2012, and just like my creator, Gil De Palma, I want to see this country of ours thrive and grow into a just and economically developed society and, like you and Gil, I also believe that one of the main catalysts to a surge in our country’s fortune and well being is the creation and support of literate, highly educated young people who will enter the work force, here and abroad, well able to compete and succeed on the international stage.
So I want to share my word tutoring capacities with children and adolescents in schools all over the Philippines.
Mr. President, with this in mind, may I request you to adopt me and share copies of me to every student in the country?
They’ll get me for FREE.
Lately my creator introduced the “Adopt WordTrotter” project on the Internet. It may be a bit eccentric, but yes, people all over the world can now be my foster parents with a gift of seven dollars ($7) at this crowdfunding site:
GoFundMe http://www.gofundme.com/adoptwordtrotter appealing to folks to be my Foster Parents to support my continuous existence as a Facebook game
For their kindness, foster parents get seven fully functioning duplicates or game clones worth seven dollars each. They can keep them, share them with their friends or even sell them.
The money to be raised will also help send over 8,000 poor children in Metro Manila to school and make better lives for themselves through my creator’s Play 4 Scholars Project with Caritas Manila. You or members of your staff can see our efforts to help here: http://www.play4scholars.com/
What I ardently wish is for your Presidential Office to adopt me by proclaiming to every school in the country that, for a gift of only seven dollars (PHP 294), my creator will provide each donor school with a password and link to an Internet site where they can download as many copies of me, the WordTrotter Game, as the number of students attending that school who want to play me.
Your Excellency, I hope you agree with me and with Gil De Palma and his team that this one of a kind project can be of immense benefit for millions of Filipino school children from K to 12 and that the seven dollar donation per school will be one of the most cost effective training programs the world has ever seen and can make the Philippine school system a progressive luminary in the field of English education and the envy of other nations.
No one has ever done this before, but then again, we Filipinos thrive on uniqueness, don’t we?
If you or any member of your staff wish to receive more information or discuss the school ‘adoption program’ further, feel free to phone Gil De Palma at +63 9278755428 or email him at either: gildepalma@wordtrotter.com or wordtrotter@gmail.com
Thanking you in advance for your consideration, President Aquino, Yours Truly,
