One word to save a world…

The last gang of Wordtrotters, uncanny caterpillars with segmented bodies marked with alphabet letters that together form a bugword, a word that keeps them alive, must risk their lives to save the bug world called Wordth.

The bug witch Grimmar, wanting to rule the Wordth, casts a spell that plunges the world into darkness and turns the Wordtrotters’ bodies into individual alphabet bugs known as Letterbugs that sever from their caterpillar heads and blindly roam the world. The Letterbugs become easy prey for Grimmar’s monsters, the Buggers, which hunt and devour them.

Without their bodies, the Wordtrotter race begins to vanish. Now the Wordth is down to its last three word bugs: Woogly, Weegly, and Whaagly. A gang of outcasts that serendipitously eluded Grimmar’s curse by being banished beforehand for “unbugly” behavior.

Novice spellbinder Woogly has earlier been blamed by the elder Wordtrotters for the magic spell fiasco that allowed the bug witch and her monsters to cross over the dimensional barrier into the Wordth. His friends, Weegly and Whaagly willingly joined him in exile.

Finding their race on the verge of extinction, the gang must find a way to undo Grimmar’s curse. Woogly seeks the advice of the Wordth’s word wizards, the Vocabugs, who know all the words that form the bodies of the Wordtrotters.

Def, the head of the Vocabug Order and Woogly’s long-time mentor, tells him to find the chosen Letterbugs that form the Anti-spell, a word that will reverse Grimmar’s curse. It will restore the Wordth and drive the bug witch and her monsters away.

Help More!
But nobody knows what that word is.

Woogly and his gang embark on a quest to find that one word that will save the world. Grimmar knows about their plan and she sends her best Buggers to hunt down the Letterbugs of the Anti-spell before the gang gets to them, and to exterminate the Wordtrotters once and for all.

And the Wordtrotter adventure begins…
