The Play 4 Scholars Project is a play-to-give drive that encourages people to raise funds for the benefit of Caritas Manila’s over 8,000 scholars by simply playing the video game Wordtrotter.
It provides a fun and educational way of raising funds through a unique partnership between players and project sponsors:
For every game word that a player gets right, a sponsor donates one centavo to the scholarship fund of Caritas Manila.
When a player plays Wordtrotter at www.play4scholars.com, our system randomly assigns a sponsor to be a partner for each game stage.
The partner sponsor’s name, logo, or brand will be displayed when the player gets the correct game word.
The system keeps track of every correct word and updates the player’s personal donation total and the sponsor donation total in their respective profiles.
Caritas Manila will use this information to bill the sponsor for its partner player’s total donation.
