About Us
Palmagick LogoPALMAGICK ENTERTAINMENT INC.

We touch the magic.

We’ll let you in on a secret: although head-turning imagery
and special effects raise production value to a higher level,
they will only work if they are built on a good concept.

The magic is in the story.

When an idea translates into a compelling story with
which audiences can relate…when it causes them to
identify with the characters and situations in it…
when it makes an emotional connection by
showing them an experience they’ve had
or an experience they’d like to have…

Magic happens.

We at Palmagick strive to do just that. We stretch our imagination and push storytelling far beyond its comfort zone to develop and adapt comics, novels, and screenplays to online graphic novels, animated works, video games, and mobile content that hold the audience’s mind and heart in magical hands.

And yes, we also conjure up production values that can turn reality on its head. Visual stunners. Treats to the senses.

To tell a story. To touch the magic.

Our Roots

Palmagick Entertainment, Inc. was founded in 2005 by Gil De Palma following the successful launching of his super hero pack TAEKWONDOGGS under his comics company Camp Comics.
At Camp Comics, Mr. De Palma created innovative titles like The Last of the Eye-Eaters, Needles, and Roku which would later become the award-winning “Moon Dragon” in the Moondance International Film Festival in Hollywood.

Now, Palmagick’s line-up of independent creative properties features dozens of original concepts and stories and over a hundred characters that he has brought into the company.

Works

Our creative properties include the following titles:

Kick of the TaeKwonDoggs
Finalist, 2007 Singapore Asian Television Forum SuperPitch Competition

Palmagick’s flagship comics and online graphic novel. In cooperation with Singapore-based Tin Can Mobile Solutions, we have developed a unique 5-episode story-driven mobile game series based on the TaeKwonDoggs. It features five stand-alone yet interlinked mobile games:

Episode 1:    Kick of the TaeKwonDoggs:  “Nemesis”
Episode 2:    Kick of the TaeKwonDoggs:  “Kabukicks”
Episode 3:    Kick of the TaeKwonDoggs:  “Starboy”
Episode 4:    Kick of the TaeKwonDoggs:  “Xperimentals”
Episode 5:    Kick of the TaeKwonDoggs:  “Warkind”

We are now finalizing the concept and gearing up for the development of the TaeKwonDoggs as a cross-platform action-adventure multiplayer game.

Also, negotiations are already underway for the 2009-2010 production of the TaeKwonDoggs animated film for Hollywood distribution.

Moon Dragon

Wordtrotter is also a customizable language-learning tool that allows integration of social gaming features.

Chomp Cars
Our racing video game currently in the final stages of development. It’s eccentric “predatory racing” gameplay is probably the first of its kind in the genre.

Plantapet
A fun and engaging casual game with a viral appeal being developed at the moment. It enhances social gaming through its asynchronous gameplay and pyramidal structure.

Chronicles of a Burning Man
An illustrated online interactive novel based on the original screenplay “Burny.”  It is being developed as a 5-episode mobile game series.

Other titles in development are the online graphic novels The Last of the Eye-Eaters, Endless, and The Angel Fire. All these are created, written, and directed by Gil De Palma.

Unique Position

Palmagick is both a content producer and distributor. Unlike traditional publishers and distributors, we control the multi-media rights to all our titles’ concepts, stories, and characters.

We can directly develop, distribute, and license them to print, television, film, the Internet, games, and other media, including merchandising.

Success Strategy

Palmagick’s success strategy involves keeping its entrepreneurial spirit alive by operating like a small business no matter how big it becomes.

The company will maintain a lean multi-tasked organization where each member, from the utility staff to the top officer, functions like a business partner.

This organization provides hands-on training for in-house entrepreneurs. Everyone is treated like an apprentice being groomed to be the future leader of the company. Even the management team must be well equipped to wear operation, production, and marketing hats as necessary.

Partner

Together with our sister company, video game publisher Gameris, Inc., we continue to make innovative games for the international market.
